ZONGULDAK TURKEY
In Zonguldak (Turkey) our installation team successfully finished the installation of 2 Biogas Balloons. The Biogas Balloons have a diameter of 300m³ and 600m³. Our installation team finished the project in a little bit more than a week!
This is the Modern Paper Industry Project in Turkey. The paper mill wastewater has a high concentration of organic matter, resulting in significant biogas production. The high gas flow poses major challenges to the transmission pipelines, pressure relief devices, and overall operational stability.
Given the site’s operating conditions—characterized by high gas volumes, high pressure loads, and significant fluctuations in gas production—we implemented a solution involving two gas holders to address the client’s core challenges:
- Ensuring continuous production: The two units serve as mutual backups; even during maintenance of a single unit, the system continues to operate normally, preventing gas supply interruptions.
- Balancing pipeline pressure: The dual tanks distribute gas storage, dispersing flow loads to reduce pipeline pressure and alleviate pressure on the relief system;
- Mitigating gas production fluctuations: Each tank independently regulates storage volume, flexibly buffering fluctuations in gas volume to maintain long-term system stability;
- Ensuring industrial safety: Two independent monitoring, pressure stabilization, and relief control systems provide multi-layered safety protection, significantly reducing operational risks associated with high-pressure biogas.
