The independent double membrane gas holder is a highly efficient gas storage system designed for storing biogas, carbon dioxide, and other reusable gases. It is widely used in wastewater treatment plants, food waste treatment facilities, livestock farms, and anaerobic digestion projects for organic waste. The gas holder adopts a 3/4 spherical structure and is fixed onto a concrete foundation through steel rails, ensuring structural stability and strong resistance to wind and snow loads.
The system mainly consists of an outer membrane, inner membrane, bottom membrane, and supporting auxiliary equipment. A variable-capacity sealed gas storage chamber is formed between the inner membrane and the bottom membrane for biogas storage. The outer membrane forms the spherical appearance of the gas holder and maintains a constant shape through continuous air supply from the blower.
The system operates under constant pressure maintained by the outer membrane blower. When the biogas volume inside the inner membrane decreases, the blower automatically supplies air into the outer membrane chamber to maintain the required design pressure. When the biogas volume increases, the inner membrane naturally expands, and excess air inside the outer membrane is automatically released through the safety valve. This process ensures that the biogas pressure remains stable within the preset range, achieving safe, stable, and efficient gas storage operation.
